Copilot for M365 in Outlook: Examples

As part of our training program for Copilot for M365, we have hundreds of examples of using Copilot for M365 Outlook, Business Chat, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams.

In this article, I’ll share a few tips and examples for using Copilot for M365 in Outlook.

First, a few general tips on usage:

  1. You can always open the Copilot pane from the top application bar.
Open the Copilot pane from the top application bar, regardless of what view you is open in Outlook

2. You can also use Copilot from within the body of an email that you are authoring to generate text.

Here are some examples:

Catchup on unread emails
Find action items from emails
Summarize me emails related to Copilot
Recap meetings that I missed

In the above example, note that only meetings where transcription was turned on and the meeting was hosted by someone within your organization will be available for detailed summarizations.
