Copilot for M365 in Word: Examples

As part of our training program for Copilot for M365, we have hundreds of examples of using Copilot for M365 Outlook, Business Chat, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams.

In this article, I’ll share a few tips and examples for using Copilot for M365 in Word.

First, a bit of an overview on its usage:

  1. As with all of the Copilot for M356 desktop application experiences, except Outlook, you can open the Copilot pane by clicking on the Copilot menu item from the Home menu.
  2. You can invoke a subset of Copilot functions from within the body of the document. You will see the Copilot icon to the left or your cursor. You can also press Alt + i within the body.
  3. You can enter your query into the Copilot pane prompt or you can click on the microphone and speak your commands.
